Svalbard has been on my wish list since my late teens. In 2019, at the age of 24, it was the first time I went to Svalbard attempting to sail around no man's land. There was (un)fortunately too much ice and we didn't succeed in completing the journey. However, on this trip, I not only caught the polarvirus, but also started to pick up photography to a higher level than before. It turned out to be an incredible experience, with lots of wildlife sightings. I made myself the promise to go back within 5 years.

In 2023, I returned to this amazing Arctic destination with a sailing ship, aiming to sail around Spitsbergen. This time, we successfully completed the circumnavigation, and I had incredible encounters along the way, especially with wildlife. I tried to capture those unforgettable memories through photography. Please enjoy the photos I took during both of my trips to Svalbard.
